The Must-Read Articles for Talent Professionals This Week

We’ve all seen the headlines announcing that the Great Resignation is over. Economic uncertainty, many have pronounced, has turned the Big Quit into a Big Stay where workers are hunkering down and staying put in their current positions.

But not so fast.

According to a recent survey by Deloitte and Workplace Intelligence of workers in the United States, the United Kingdom, Canada, and Australia, 60% of employees, 64% of managers, and 75% of the C-suite are seriously considering leaving their jobs due to low levels of well-being.

“Most employees,” writes Deloitte, “say their well-being either worsened or stayed the same last year, and only around one-third say their health improved.”

Meanwhile there seems to be a disconnect between the C-suite’s perception of their workforce’s well-being and what employees themselves are reporting: “More than three out of four executives inaccurately believe that their workforce’s well-being improved,” the report notes, “illustrating that leaders don’t have a firm grasp on how their teams are really doing.”
