The Must-Read Articles for Talent Professionals This Week
Buckle up, talent pros! Industry leader Josh Bersin sees 2025 as a pivotal year for the talent industry. “Companies believe that AI will transform their business,” he writes in a recent blog post, “so investment in technology is exploding.”
But instead of seeing this investment as a source of anxiety, Josh foresees it as a real opportunity for everyone in the people business, including HR execs, recruiters, and learning and development pros. “This trillion dollar AI-based re-engineering effort is about people, not technology,” he continues. “The AI revolution . . . is all about redesigning the way we get things done. And that lands in the laps of HR: how we redesign, reskill, and redeploy people in a world of highly intelligent systems.”
This redesign will also create a new kind of worker — one that Josh calls the “superworker.” This AI-fueled employee will be more productive, efficient, and creative as new technology takes many rote tasks off their plates.
But workers, Josh notes, need help in achieving this super-state. Enter your friendly neighborhood talent pro: “Just as Superman Clark Kent learned to channel his powers,” Josh writes, “we must learn to harness AI for individual and team performance. This means not just automating existing tasks, but rethinking how work gets done, empowering people to do more, and creating opportunities for growth.”
