New AI Tools Let You Identify and Message Candidates Faster
Nearly three-quarters (74%) of hiring professionals hope that integrating generative AI into recruiting will help them automate repetitive tasks so they can prioritize more high-value strategic work.
Those hopes are beginning to flower.
LinkedIn has launched two new AI-powered features — AI-Assisted Messages and Likelihood of Interest — that are helping talent acquisition professionals who use Recruiter identify and reach out to candidates faster and more strategically. AI-Assisted Messages uses generative AI to craft personalized outreach InMail messages to candidates, while Likelihood of Interest identifies candidates who are more inclined to engage with you about your open roles.
Both of these features will allow recruiters to do their jobs more quickly and efficiently. Let’s find out how.
AI-Assisted Messages crafts personalized outreach messages with one click
Personalization works. When recruiters personalize InMail messages, they can see an overall 40% increase in acceptance rates. But personalization takes time and effort.
Until now.
With AI-Assisted Messages, a Recruiter feature that began rolling out this year, you can now create unique, fully customized outreach messages with just one click, helping you save time, boost engagement, and personalize at scale.
How does it work?
AI-Assisted Messages draws on profile information provided by candidates about their skills, experience, and Open to Work status and combines it with information about your company and your open role, such as job title, responsibilities, location, and salary.
When you click the Compose icon associated with a candidate in Recruiter, you’ll see a button that says “Draft personalized message.” Clicking on that button will produce a message created by generative AI specifically for that candidate.
One click — that quick.
Once you’ve generated an initial message, you can click “Personalize the message” to fine-tune your message. Simply customize the fields used by the AI model and generate a new draft. And, of course, you can also edit content directly if you choose and then send your message. (At this time, AI-Assisted Messages is only available in English.)
Likelihood of Interest points recruiters to candidates who are most inclined to respond to their outreach
As you build your talent pipeline, wouldn’t it be game-changing to easily identify the candidates who are very likely to engage with you and to respond to your InMail messages?
Now, all that is possible with the Likelihood of Interest feature that is part of the new candidate profile card in Recruiter.
The feature does the heavy lifting by ranking interest signals behind the scenes, so you don’t have to engage in guesswork when searching for talent.
Likelihood of Interest uses AI to aggregate and interpret many real-time interest signals, such as “Open to work,” InMail acceptance, prospects from companies with recent layoffs, and “Interested in your company,” and then identify candidates who have either a high or moderate likelihood of being interested in your job.
This allows you to source strategically, boost efficiency, and increase your InMail success rate.
Where do you find all this goodness?
Go to a candidate profile card on Recruiter, find the Interest row, and then note whether there’s a “High likelihood of interest” (in a green font) or a “Moderate likelihood of interest” (slate gray). The most critical interest signals will show up in blue. You can hover over these to discover more about the activities — whether it’s Open to work, Active talent, or Interested in your company— that indicate probable interest.
And once you’ve pinpointed candidates you want to reach out to, you can quickly send them a personalized message.
This will free your time to focus on the work that matters most — building stronger, deeper relationships with candidates.
